Apison SDA School’s Fall Festival Builds Mountain of Macaroni!
Last year the Apison SDA School’s Fall Festival called community members to bring a box of macaroni as their entrance fee, building a mountain of macaroni for the Samaritan Center before the night was through.
This year they’re doing it again! You won’t want to miss this fun, family-friendly event on Sunday, October 11, from 12:00-4:00 PM.
Admission runs as follows:
child = $1 or 1 box of macaroni
adult = $2 or 2 boxes of macaroni
family = $5 or 5 boxes of macaroni
Admission will go to benefit from the Samaritan Center. All other proceeds will benefit the Lester Coon Apison School of Seventh-day Adventists.
See you there!
We Need New Christmas Toys!
Christmas will be here before we know it, and along with Christmas will come children in need.
This year many parents are out of work and unable to provide a special Christmas for their children without our help. Please help us help them by donating new Christmas toys to the Samaritan Center.
Last year we helped 272 children. This year we expect to help even more.

Publix Donates School Supplies for Area Schools
The Samaritan Center cannot express how much it appreciates the Ooltewah Publix’s generosity in donating a large quantity of school supplies for our area schools. Although we aren’t a member of United Way, we felt privileged to be on the list of trusted organizations who got to receive a share of these items to pass on to those in need.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give children the supplies they need to succeed!

Bi-Lo Boosters Brings in $379!
Our first six months’ involvement with Bi-Lo Boosters brought in $305.40. We were excited about that, and now we’re even more thrilled that our most recent six months brought in $378.92!
You can help us reach an even higher goal next time. To get involved, print off this barcode and swipe it one time with your Bi-Lo Bonus Card. After that, every time you make a purchase with your bonus card, the Samaritan Center will receive a percentage of your purchase price.
Thanks so much to the many supporters who faithfully swipe their Boosters cards for the Samaritan Center at Bi-Lo. Your shopping is making a difference!

We’re on ebay!
The Samaritan Center is now ebaying more expensive donated items so that we can have more money to help those in need.
Do you have an item you want to donate to the Center for us to put on ebay? Please drop it by the front desk or put a piece of paper on it that says “ebay” when you drop it at the back.
To see the items the Center has up on ebay right now, go to http://myworld.ebay.com/samaritancenter/. Some weeks the Center may have several items for sale on ebay and other weeks not at all. Ebayed items will vary depending on what is donated.
